i mean, clearly some things will stand out such as, how much time he’s spending with you, how much he talks about you, etc, but overall i don’t feel like you could just tell when he likes someone. he probably would try to clean up a bit around you though, and get you little gifts here and there to be nice but not suspicious. (a candle you pointed out while shopping, friendship bracelet, etc.)

he does seem to get nervous actually a bit more frequently in the game, but his lax and lazy demeanor helps him keep it a bit chiller. if he was to develop feelings he’d definitely show that nervousness a tad bit more.

i’m not going to say that i feel like he wouldn’t realize he has a crush, because despite sans being very monotone he is very aware of his emotions.

it would probably just take a while of feeling the romantic surge towards you and making sure this isn’t just something that will fade within a few weeks before he ever actually initiates anything.

i know that he’s not really open with anyone about his personal feelings or past, even when you’ve stripped away his brother and friends he barely spills anything extremely relevant other than nihilism and greif, but i do think he’d confess soon. i almost feel like the nagging feeling of having a crush would just get a bit annoying for him if it doesn’t fade away and becomes stronger. not annoying in the sense of ‘god this is really annoying to be around them all the time and feel like this’, but more in the ‘god this is really annoying to be around them all the time and not actually be with them’ type of way. i think that just being around you all the time and wanting more but not knowing how you felt would drive him to confess sooner. if it’s obvious that you like him, though, i do feel like he’d wait a tad longer in that case. few months overall on both situations give or take.

dating him at first wouldn’t really feel much different than just being best friends with him, give or take a kiss here and there. that’s just at first, though. first 1-2 months.

while i don’t shun away the head canon of him having crushes before hand, (the underground was big, and he wasn’t always extremely lazy. he’s nihilistic, not emotionless), i don’t think he’s actually dated anyone before.

that doesn’t mean he’s stupid by any means, he knows how to date, he just never really cared or wanted it enough to do so before you.

so things would probably start out slow and would stay slow for a hot minute. you might have to do some of the initiation parts to get things moving along.

yeah yeah, i know the whole “sans is so depressed and wont get help and wont improve with any of his friends” idea, but thats not really sans IMO. he does feel happy and love being with his friends, we do have canon proof on this, again he’s not emotionless you guys. i think if he just actively had someone showering him with love (especially in a romantic manner) he’d start improving. we know sans used to not always be super lazy, and we know he did play a big part in raising papyrus, even if it wasn’t for all of his upbringing, so while he’s always been a tad lazy he definitely spiraled down at some point along the line. having someone love on him, compliment him, cuddle him, etc, would make him want to actually take care of himself a bit more. fix his room a little bit, clean himself up. it is a bit hard to care for others when you don’t know how to care for yourself.

nothing suuuuper often, just here and there to where you’re not expecting it, but you’d get a tad suspicious if you’ve gone over a month without something.

it could just be something simple. a silly couples ring he found at the store, or maybe he went out and decided to grab you some breakfast, dropping it off to you and waking you up. just things he knows makes you happy but aren’t too over the top. not to say that he wouldn’t do anything nice for you if you had an anniversary or had a birthday, etc.

i don’t really see him getting too cozy with friends or anything, he’s very reserved with his mannerisms (most of the time), partially because i don’t think he’s ever actually dated anyone before and probably doesn’t know that he’s craving the physical affection until he actually got it.

it would most likely be the first time actually cuddling with you, arms intertwined that he’d realize how much he literally enjoys being closed around in your warmth. most likely he’d be a cuddle bug after that. arms always around your waist and shoulders, always leaning on you and running his fingers in your hair. just being with you would become comforting to him. honestly, the longer you start dating the harder it would be for him to actually go be alone in his room again without you by him.

Inuyasha x Kikyo, Sesshomaru x Kagura

getting my rating out of the way: TWO OUT OF TEN BABYYYY!

here's the thing - i think inukik's dynamic is interesting because of the restraint. the distance between them despite their perceived kinship. souls brought together because, in kikyo's words, they both know loneliness.

but that isn't really true. inuyasha is alone, kikyo is lonely, and it's this disconnect that makes them incompatible. on the surface, they share many traits that stem from similar issues. both are distrustful, both have to hide their "true selves" under masks of either prickly disdain or stone-cold apathy. and the deal they make about the shikon jewel is really where it clicked for me how much they just don't work, because before kikyo can get to know the real inuyasha, beyond pre-conceived notions, he has to strip away a part of himself. he has to become human. and a huge, huge reason as to why inuyasha is the way he is is because he's a hanyou. who will he be after a transformation like that?

inukik shippers like to prattle on about how inuyasha and kikyo are super tragic and deserved better, but can we actually think about what that means? what would their relationship be like if things had gone according to plan? you have inuyasha, whose just given away a crucial part of himself, simultaneously tentatively happy to start a life with someone but also completely lost because he doesn't know how to be a lover, how to be a husband, hell, he barely knows how to be a friend - is that what they once were? friends? he doesn't know how to adjust to humans who would have once shouted and thrown things at him. he feels the fleshy things around his ears and wonders how he can still possibly feel deaf when he has them. he hates how he can't see his own hands in the dark. he hates the unspeakable and unexplainable human aches.

and kikyo is free. she still heals people, of course, but she no longer has to deal with the burden of the shikon jewel. and now she has a companion to share it all with. he's always so frustrated, and she can't understand why beyond the fact that he's a little weaker now. they're so careful with each other, too. they didn't know how to hug or hold hands or touch when they were meeting alone back then, so they don't know how to kiss, either, as husband and wife.

i can't see them fighting. i can't see them bickering or having a playful spat and that, to me, is a problem. one of the reasons why i love inukag so much is that we see them fight all the time, but they always come back stronger regardless. their feelings don't waver. and because of the honesty in their arguments, they learn each other's tells and ticks. the small details. they aren't afraid to get into a debate, because their love is strong enough to withstand it.

when i think of inukik, i think of walking on a wire.

besides all this conceptual stuff, we do get inukik in the show, after her forced resurrection. and this is where you totally lose me. any potential interest i could have had (and there was none to begin with) goes down the drain with lines like, "your life is mine." no. NO.

genuinely she made his survivor's guilt so much worse by reinforcing his negative line of thinking. and then at the end when he's holding her dying body, lamenting that he couldn't do more for her, she's like, "it's okay. you came." THATS WHAT HES BEEN DOING THIS WHOLE TIME??? no. no. this is too irritating lmao

i don't hate kikyo (most of the time) i just think a) inuyasha deserves better b) they are nooot compatible. also, most inukik shippers i've met turned me off from the ship even more.

anyway inukag and kagkik are a thousand times more compelling >>>

okay, but genuinely, i love sesskagu. i don't talk about them a lot, but they really are one of the more interesting pairings imo. opposites in many ways, but also very similar. sesshomaru, so certain of whom he is, and kagura, still trying to recover her body and identity for herself. sesshomaru, who travels the lands at his own pace, and kagura, who wishes to be free as the wind. sesshomaru and rin, kagura and kohaku. both haughty and powerful, but with contrasting personalities. wouldn't hurt to give sesshomaru someone (who would bully him) to banter with either.

also, i have a super specific headcanon of kagura teaching rin wind magic....i just need more rin and kagura interactions please im begging.

DIY How-To; Aluminum Can Spikes

Preface; This will work with any kind of can as long as its metal. (soda, monster, ect) You can make them in colors depending on which side you trace your stencil on but im gonna teach you how to make them silver

And i cannot stress this enough,

BE CAREFUL WITH THE RAW CUT EDGES OF THE CANS, THEY ARE SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT BADLY

Material needed;

Empty clean aluminum can(s)

Sharp scissors (maybe a stitch ripper for attaching them but scissors work too)

A sharpie or permanent marker

Superglue if you want them perfect

An abundance of patience and caution

1 Gather your aluminum

First step is to turn those cans into flat sheets of metal. Start by making a small cut near the rounded edge of the top or bottom, about this distance

Then cut around the top to connect back where you started and take the ends off.

Next you cut a line straight down the side to interrupt the loop of aluminum.

What I do next is kinda just flatten it the best I can? Press it against a flat surface, make tiny bends against the curve, just to make it easier to work with, always being careful of the sharp edges

2 Make a stencil

So the general shape youre gonna wanna make it is like this

The big point will be the tip of your spike, and the little nubby ones will hold it on

imo it helps to have an extra can to experiment with what works best for what youre going for, but once you figure it out, have one flat cut out piece to trace for the rest, to make sure they all come out the same!

3 Trace a bunch and cut them out!

Sounds easier than it is. if you work with it, you can get more spikes sometimes by drawing them close together, but then theyre harder to cut out. Again, be careful of edges. If you want silver, trace on the printed on sign so you dont get sharpie on your spike (or dont, mistakes are punk)

4 Roll them up

This takes a little practice, but what you wanna do is roll up the wider end of the triangle, one edge over the other, into a pyramid, forming a spike with the point of the big triangle at the end. (this ones harder to draw)

Sometimes theyll stay curled tight on their own, sometimes they need a little help (superglue) i havent figured out how to make em curl perfect every time yet. You can also fill them with hot glue to make them sturdier ( BEING CAREFUL OF THE SPIKES WHEN THEY HEAT UP FROM THE GLUE) But the good news is your spikes are done!

4 Affixing them to your shit

Once you figure out where you want them, hold the bottom triangles on the first spike up to the spot it goes like you mean to put it in, mark where they touch the fabric, and then take your scissors or stitch ripper and cut four little tears that DO NOT connect at those points.

It should look like this, with the center dot representing where the spike point is centered!

You should also give each spike enough room that the tears dont run into each other. I usually do them one at a time but i dont think it matters.

After the tears are cut, you carefully insert the bottom triangles into the rips

flip it over, and fold the triangles in over themselves like a staple

Repeat until youve added on all your spikes and your piece looks sick as fuck

5 Bonus; patching over the studs

So when you do this, like a staple, theres the little pointy bits sticking in, and if its a wearble item, it'll prick your skin. If youre autistic like me thats a big drawback, but you can remedy this by sewing a patch of a thicker material (i use denim) over the place where these spikes are holding on.

it really is like a desert here. being the fan of a character we aren't getting until the last damn nation is driving me up a wall but i will persevere bc if nothing else i support morally bankrupt women in media. we r in a severe drought over here but i do my best. unfortunately nothing i say is ever coherent so pull out your translation notes its abt 2 be messy

also this got out of hand but thats bc first meetings w the tsaritsa are tricky to write + a LOT of her characterization lies in deeper exploration then just surface level yknow...NOT A DIG AT YOU this is just my excuse for rambling. gently pats the tsaritsa she can hold so much complexity i do not have the word count to delve into it completely :]

gonna talk cult au for a bit here though because that's 99% of my content. and honestly? she thrives in sub au's of the cult au like villain au + imposter au. it's basically made for her. i mean, early days, the imposter au had been going around for a little while but one of the first few ideas was the Fatui taking reader in so like. it kinda technically actually was. pretty sure cult au Tsaritsa popped up because of the imposter au. a lot of it's writers kinda left though which. man am i getting old or.

anyway.

there isn't much of a chance her first impression is all that positive. at best it's usually neutral, imo, but rarely if ever positive. specifically because i view the Tsaritsa as someone who isn't as fanatical as most of the acolytes typically are towards the creator. she's not exactly going to worship the ground you walk on unlike a certain geo lizard. which is partially why i think she thrives in the sub au's i mentioned.

imposter au, for example. she meets you at your lowest. there's no gaudy extravagance or pampering from the acolytes waiting for you because your own acolytes have turned on you. for all intents and purposes you aren't a "god" at all. which is why i don't think she meshes well with normal cult au reader. the Fatui are made up of outcasts, basically, and imposter au slots right in just perfectly. you're weak, at your lowest, when you meet the Fatui in the imposter au. and the Fatui can help you, too.

a mutual exchange, really. the Tsaritsa sees a tool she can use to one up the rest of the nations and especially Archons, and she has no qualms about you using her and the Fatui in turn. you both want something out of it, after all. whether you just want to be safe from the rest of the acolytes, or you want revenge, or whatever else..she'll give you the power to fulfill it, and she gains the strongest piece on the chessboard when all is said and done.

the best way i can describe the first meeting is "practical", i suppose. she sees an opportunity in you. the ultimate gamble. because if she "saves" you, and you dont trust anyone else because they tried to kill you, well..she holds all the cards, doesn't she?

but the Tsaritsa, imo, is just as capable of being just as fanatical towards you as anyone else. she just won't worship you as the creator. but as yourself? clawing your way back to your divine power and taking back what belongs to you? the Tsaritsa is, to me, a character who's character flourishes in long-term fics more because she changes a LOT between "just met reader" and after having been with reader for some time. she's practically apathetic at the beginning but a lot of her character, in my characterization, shines through LONG after the first meeting.

as for itafushi, i think its something above 'friendship' and more like 'camaraderie' - coz i think characters who went through life or death situations multiple times together would just automatically have that kind of bond. but to be very honest! i wish we saw more of them outside of jujutsuing some kaisen, just because i would have loved to see that bond develop outside of fights. because it seems we only ever just see the result of that bond and never the actual bond, if im making any sense? but i still do think they're probably what you might call 'platonic soulmates' with how quickly they both mutually trusted each other.

in the beginning i wasnt really convinced about their 'friendship' coz it just came out of nowhere that megumi wants to save this kid he just met. granted, he did saw yuji go back to save his friends meaning yuji is a good kid - still that was sukuna ryomen megumi was letting reincarnate just coz he wanna save one person.

but what made me like their friendship a little better was that moment before the start of the goodwill event when megumi noticed something was bothering yuji. no one else noticed that, and yuji wanted to brush it off like its nothing. but one look from megumi and he admitted there was something actually - but that its okay now. i think thats cute that they can sense when something is bothering the other, even though they only knew eachother for a few days.

and on more moments after that, they seem to understand each other really well. like, the fact that sukuna's reincarnation was the cause of all those random curses awakening/getting stronger and both of them not wanting the other to know coz they dont want to hurt each other. or when yuta was trying to convince yuji that it wasnt his fault back in shibuya but yuji wouldnt accept it - but when megumi came in he accepted megumi's words and understood it. they have a very special bond where they mutually have an understanding, and i think that's very cute.

with that said though, i wish gege could've given us more moments of them all together - including nobara - because on the surface it looks like they're all just acquaintances who didnt have much time to get to know each other enough for their bond to be called friendship. although i do think they have a strong camaraderie, i wish their bond as first year students was shown a lot better - especially since we saw them meeting for the first time. for example, with gojo and geto - we dont need to see them gradually getting to know each other because we as the readers saw them for the first time when they're already friends. but with itafushi, we needed more time to see them gradually be friends. but what happened was, these characters strengthening these bonds behind the scenes, and every time we see them we are only seeing the result of that.

i dont know if im making any sense, but gege seems to struggle with writing character relationships that he actually have to show the audience - this is more noticeable with how he handled tsumiki and megumi's relationship. gege relies too much on us just thinking 'oh, maybe they bonded while we weren't looking' or something like that. imo, gege seems to not know how ((or does not want)) to show characters gradually being friends, coz its either some kind of sense of duty (megumi) or its some memory thats forced upon these characters (todo and choso), just so the characters can jump from strangers to bestfriends/brothers from the get go.

i think i rambled way too much and made zero sense, but what i wanna say is that i believe that yuji and megumi's bond is something that's above friendship - and is a very strong sense of camaraderie and responsibility for each other. and while i did see it, i just wish gege showed that a lot better and made the strangers to comrades to friends transition a whole lot visible.

the "robe curls" or "heatless curls" headband doohicky is alright for some hair types but my hair will NOT dry overnight in that thing, or with a dryer hood, highly porous, fine but medium-high density in 3B curl type. plus i need actual tension to get any kind of blowout effect because of the texture.

so ive been wondering why no one has made one of those halo roller bands out of some kind of flexible ducting and you attach one end to a blow dryer and just blowdry it out all at once. should be 2-3" diameter hose made of either vented ducting material or some sort of mesh/foam similar to garden hose drip-watering material (could be silicon to give it heat resistance). and maybe in the case of mesh some sort of brush roller center insertion with bristles to hold the wrapped hair, or velcro at minimum. with blow dryer attachment it would give the blowout effect within about 15-45 minutes imo

this kind of setup is, i think, either using electric heat or hot air (i think the former) to set an old-fashioned perm. what i'm suggesting is just attached a hose to a home hair dryer using this sort of attachment:

but then the hot air hose itself is used as the hair roller tube in this fashion:

yes i have one of those dryer-attachment fabric hoods and they do not work well for me on top of a roller set or robe curls or anything else. something is wrong with the air circulation, my hair doesn't dry in a reasonable amount of time. that's why I'm mulling over turning the hose into the tube the hair goes around. the hose itself is vented with individual holes and does not vent through all the fabric. it would need a layer of air-permeable material (open mesh, velcro, bristles of some kind, low-density fiber foam, some sort of heat-resistant polyfill fiber quilting?) between the hose vent holes and the hair surface.

im happy for my fellow white women with untextured hair who are getting nice blowout waves with this satin roller tube thing but the diameter is so small my hair will just shrink back up to frizzy 3B instantly when i take it out. yes i know about hair products, all of them, humidity products and cuirl creme and gel and heat protectant and mouse and blah blah, ALL OF THEM. i have tried it, dont tell me about them

something that worked well with shiekah shrines in botw was that these things were built SPECIFICALLY to make a future link stronger, theres that denialability to it that kinda make sense when you think about it, they are small challenges for the future hero to test and make them stronger, they are spread around the world bc you wouldnt want to hide some major source of power in one place, a monk literally sacrifices their life to enable you to gain more power their dead body waiting for you at the end (neat!!), they are each a little different in pose and clothing and im pretty sure its implied each monk made the puzzle for their shrine themselves; and the ones that rely on something happening in the world first can also be explained by their ability to see the future, the shrines and towers all rise up from the ground, which gives them that believable sense of they have been down there all this time and been activated via the net connecting them all to signal it is time- their design is also just .. nice? its got a nice contrast of the dark and the ligher brown with eye catching light from orange to blue to pink telling you in what states of operation it is (idle, working/done, corrupted) and their shape design is a very striking mix of bigger emptier spots of dark with the lighter browns wiggly lines coming in in nicely paced patches and the strong lights poking through giving you a nice soemthign for your eyes to look at (their tech is also a mix of magic stuff AND mechanism, they still look and work kinda magical but still have cogs and springs and looks like they are actual maschines put together)

totk shrines have no real denialability to why they are the way they are, its pretty clear that they are there for game reasons (and to copy botw i guess?) with no proper thought given to it (or failed to convey); they are already there when zelda does her time travel bs, and i heard (havent seen it myself? or dont remember) that the sonau shrines were built to .. keep monsters at bay? ok, im not even gonna question that part ( ... but i am .. i guess lightmagic wahtever dont think about it) so .... why do they contain a puzzle at all? its not to prevent monsters from entering since you need raurus hand to activate it (in botw you need the shiekah stone to do so which isnt really found besides yours either but ... their purpose is to test and empower you anyway .. and pehaps in a wider range to strengthen the bond with other folks when you have to work with them to get to it) then they werent present in botw so they must have ... somehow appeared out of nowhere? their connection to the lightroots might have been an attempt to try and make them feel more connected but that didnt work either imo, the shrines on the surface mirror lightroots in the underground, implying they are connected somehow, i at first thought like the lightroot is their root and the shrine is the flowerbud, but its very clearly just some ...magic rock crystal with stuff built around it including a teleportation thing thats pretty much copied from the shiekah ones (??) and you somehow ... enter magic dimension (which is .. fine, but i liked how in botws it was an elevator going down, making it feel like you are put into a physical room underground) but then there .... are also shrines in the sky ... that have no lighroot to connect to .. (i guess .. magic light wahtever dont htinkaboutit) so that part kinda falls flat- and the bring-crystal-to-shrine-spot (uhg) also debunk that thought since its a (tasty looking) green crystal that just kinda warps into a big grey rock ... for some reason, at their end is always the same colorless statue of da kind and his fridge wife (not her build) they are also missing that denialability that they were built for link specifically, sonau cant see into the future so (unless they yoinked that from the shiekah too??).. how does .. anything of that work then? especially with the crystal ones given that they are always a blessing shrine sicne bringing the crystal to its spot is counted as the puzzle but they couldnt have known that thats where it would end up at (and then ...how and why would you put a shrine thing into a crystal thing and disconnect it and throw it whereever when it manifests somehow again thousands years later- i need to stop thinking about it)- then their aesthetic is white green and gold(ish) which is a nice color combination in itself tho its lacking that neat status singaling and the eye catching contrast with their glow, the green glowy bits dont stand out as much, their shape design i dislike alot since it ... looks kinda unfinished and in a strange disconnect to their tech; buildings and statues are very blocky solid colors with the occasional rune or dragon carved into, which is also very blocky and one colored, their shapes are pretty uniform in a blocky way, theres not alot of shape contrast anywhere besides basic smaller block and bigger block, the most interesting looking ones are the ... outer walls of the shrines with their scaled look and the ground with the circle patterns; their tech and clothing is in a strange disconnect, its got a gree-tealish scale like texture in anything solid, be it tech or ornaments, it also features alot more gold and also brown stones that look rather untouched- now, for clothing, that is fine, the shiekah didnt dress like their tech either (.... mostly, ancient armor does exist) BUT the constructs and tech also have that more natural look to them

the fact that the same blocky statue waits for you at the end alsso removes not just coolness but also personality, instead of individual monks that gave their life for you and you setting them free once you take their spirit orb its the same representation of the holy king and queen giving you some light juice to cure you more of miasma .. which doesnt actually matter sicne you get your normal arm back no matter how many light juices you got at the end anyway (their "tech" also just looks less like actual maschinery and much more like .. magic tm, the constructs have nothing maschinery like about them and are just floating rings animated by green magic wiggle lines and function almost the same as literal bokblins with the added thing of being able to fuse/use tech.. the empty spot of a threat like the guardians is very prominent once you realize that the constructs are largely just like a reskinned bokblin, and the miasma hands, while neat, are more like a surprise jumpscare and less like a looming threat and are also not taken to their full potential)

theres also a disconnect between the sonau as we are introduced to them in totk and the actual sonau ruins from botw, which share a common dragon motive but have a much more .. MORE aesthetic, theres even color present you dont see anywhere in totk sonau stuff, like the red paint- you are given the explanation that those are ruins built by hylians as a monument to the sonau but i think it falls very flat sicne its clear it wasnt designed to be meant like that in botw and also looks much more withered than the totk sonau ruins which rarely look withered at all despite being even older than the botw ruins; im very sure its jsut an excuse bc their design for totk sonaus got changed ... for some reason, just like their "barbaric" origins in the phirone/faron region

shiekah symbolism and more kinda overtaken by sonau

so, soemthing i really dont like about the sonau as well is that theres quite a bit that they take from shiekah and kinda... present it as being the origin of it, actually;

we all know the very dominant symbol of the eye/third eye with three eyelashes and a tear drop for the shiekah which is established in the very first chronological game (skyward sword) but also featured in alot of other zeldas, it symbolizing their connection to hylia and their foresight (perhaps even more? i dont know everything); now we got the sonau who ... have a LITERAL third eye (and it doesnt even look special ..) that has three lashes and they paint tear drops under their eyes... (which has only the connection to .. the tears zelda sheds when shes a dragon, no other character does so at any other point, lol?) it makes it seem like we are to assume that the shiekah got their symbols from the sonau, actually, just like their tech wasnt their invention either but the sonaus, actually, who are new to the franchise and have no other connection to anything of past games, unlike the shiekah who have been there from the start really

then theres the tech, the ancient shiekah had very advanced, mystical tech in botws ancient history and now the even MORE ancient sonau had even MORE advanced tech way before them in totks lore which goes beyond even botws ancient history

im not saying symbols gotta be exclusive to one group of people but .. it holds alot of significance carried from the older games too, it feels strange for them to highjack the shiekah symbols and achievements WITHIN the two games that are supposedly directly connected in timeline and world (while also pairing them with those supposedly aniecnt hylian feather crowns and belly out look ... which, im no expert but i raise my eyebrow at that) together with the fact that nearly any and all traces of shiekah tech, except for the little needed parts that are never called that though and are just footnotes .. if anything, are precisely erased feels .... off

another long ramble about my thougths about totk, some people graciously call them analysis but i wouldnt say its that, its jsut a largely incoherent waterfall of words that would have spun around in my head for weeks if i didnt write them out and i keep coming up with more thoughts bc im thinking about the rewrite and well ...

Hey so I am a bit new to this and my partner just bought me my first doll for Christmas. Shes so pretty already and i love her so much! I want to paint her face but I dont even know where to start. Did you have any suggestions? Also any helpful tips on clothe making? I plan on making all her clothes save for her shoes

hi congrats on ur new doll! im not really great w faceups myself but for starters i reccommend looking at this DOA faceup materials list to learn abt good supplies (and bad ones to avoid)

im not sure if ur doll is resin or vinyl but generally faceups are done w the same materials for both. it's reccommended to seal your doll before painting/blushing also so it doesnt stain the surface... (also it adds a slight grit if you spray it right, which makes pastels stick better)

idk if it says it on the materials list but one thing ive learned is that a longer brush will give you better control and finer lines (which sounds counter intuitive but its true) i use this ZM brush from volks (specifically the largest one, 07)

also using a magnifying glass that clamps onto your desk is super helpful for painting small things (i just got one and its awesome)

also dont expect it to be good on your first tries... thats the hardest part imo. im still really bad but i am practicing... lol

lastly for clothes sewing: idk much about sewing! thats something i'd like to get better at tho.. there's a lot of patterns online esp on etsy or for free on ppls websites etc etc

thats all at the top of my head but if any other dolly enjoyers got any tips feel free to add on
